In the timbered houses, you can find an illustration of the way of life and farming methods of small farmers dating back to the period from the middle of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th century. The tour also features unique water-driven technical structures.
The exhibition areas feature a great many diverse items creating an atmosphere that will take you back into the past. The oldest interior is to be found in the homestead from the village of Lezník near Polička. The youngest exhibition, dated to the 1950s, can be found in the farmstead from Mokrá Lhota in Nové Hrady.

Information on services:
The car park for cars and coaches is 250 metres from the open air museum site and is operated by Vysočina Local Authority.
The Na Vejměnku Inn can be found right on the open air museum site. The U Kováře Matěje Inn can be found next to the car park.
The WC is located in the entry building. There is also a baby changing table here.
A bicycle stand is located in front of the ticket office by the entry building.

Prohibitions and restrictions:
Smoking is forbidden throughout the Veselý Kopec open air museum site, with the exception of the area in front of the inn.
Dogs may be taken onto the open air museum site and into buildings on a leash free of charge.
Access for the disabled to outdoor areas at the open air museum. Access to interiors is limited (stairs, doorsteps).
Cyclists are obliged to dismount from their bicycles on the open air museum site.
Photography and film recording is permitted without the use of flash photography and tripods for your own non-commercial use.
